Easy Picadillo Recipe

Picadillo recipe– is a quick and easy recipe that comes together less than 30 minutes and it’s a staple in a lot of Hispanic households, it’s one of the best comfort food that combines Ground beef, and potatoes simmered in tomato sauce. Serve this dish with some Mexican Rice and corn tortillas to complete your dinner.
Picadillo is a very nostalgic dish for me, growing up I looked forward to this meal every week, coming home from school I would smell the simmered meat in tomato sauce, and would instantly make my mouth water.

WHAT IS PICADILLO?
Picadillo is comfort food with Ground beef simmered in tomato sauce and has many variations in Latin culture, there are Cuban, Puerto Rican, and Mexican styles. Some have raisins, olives, and potatoes.

Equipment
- 1 Pot
- 1 knife
- 1 cutting board
- 1 peeler
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. Ground beef
- 3 medium Dice potatoes
- 2 each Dice carrots
- 1 tbsp. Chicken bouillon
- 8 oz. Tomato Sauce (1 can)
- 10 oz. Water
- Salt to taste
How to make picadillo
INTRUCTIONS
- Start by peeling potatoes, and carrots and dicing them to 1/2 inch, and set them aside.



2. On a high heat pan cook the ground beef for 3 minutes on each side and get a good browning on the meat.



3. After the meat has cooked throw in potatoes, and carrots and cook for 2 extra minutes then add tomato sauce, water, and chicken bouillon, Bring up to a boil then cover and cook for 25 minutes on low heat.
