Easy Carne con Papas Recipe

Carne con Papas ( Mexican Beef and potato stew ) is an amazing recipe that most Hispanic families cook. It’s a perfect meal especially when you in a budget or you want to get a lot of food for your buck.
My mother use to feed our family of fourth and would add more potatoes to stretch the meal out. The Savory steak simmered with potatoes and chili sauce is incredible.
This recipe is good to manage our money at home while eating savory steak and potato meal that we can enjoy at home.

Equipment
- 1 pan
- 1 knife
- 1 cutting board
- 1 spoon
Ingredients
- 1 lbs Thinly slice bottom round stack
- 3 each Medium russet potato
- 1/2 each yellow onion (sweet onion)
- 2 Tbsp. Chicken bouillon powder (Knorr brand)
- Salt To Taste
- Sauce
- 2 oz Deseeded Chile Guajillo
- 2 each Garlic cloves
- 3 cups Water
How to Make Carne con papa.
Instructions-
- Start by deseeding your dried chili Guajillo and place it in a pot with garlic and water and boil for 5 minutes to soften the chili.



2. After the chili has boiled and softened place into a blender add 1 cup of the leftover water from the pot and blend until fully smooth if the chili sauce is still a little thick add more water to the blender.


3. Next slice your bottom round steak , yellow onion and russet potatoes



4. To a hot pan add 1 tbsp. oil and cook the steak and onion for 2-3 minutes first, then add your potatoes, chili sauce, chicken bouillon, and salt and bring to a boil cover with a lid and lower the temperature to low heat, and cook for 25 min or until potatoes soften up.
