Growing up I only had my mother cooking so I can’t say that my grandma’s cooking was better, But what I do know is that my mother’s rice became a staple to our family and always hit the spot.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cup jasmine rice
  • 3 each roman tomatoes (should be 1 1/2 cups of pure sauce)
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 2 each small garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp Chicken bouillon powder
  • 1 to taste Salt to taste

HOW TO MAKE MEXICAN RICE

Instructions.

  1. Start by cutting your Roma tomatoes and peeling your garlic then place in a blender with the chicken bouillon and blend until fully smooth, it should only take about 2 minutes.

2. Next put your tomato sauce and water on to a cup or bowl and set to the side for later use.

3. Fry the rice in a little oil until it gets golden brown should take 2-4 minutes.

4. Once the rice becomes golden brown is time to put tomato sauce and water into the pot, add salt to the rice a little at a time, and taste until its seasons to your liking.

5. Bring up to a boil then cover with a lid and cook for 25 minutes on low heat.
