Easiest Chicken Teriyaki Recipe

What is Chicken Teriyaki?
Teriyaki chicken is a Japanese dish of grilled chicken brushed with a soy sauce base sauce, Its has also been modified to be cook in a stove top and still contain its amazing sweet and tangy taste.
Why is it called Teriyaki?
Teriyaki refers to the style or method of cooking, it combine the word “Teri” , meaning gleam and “Yaki”, meaning grilled or broiled.
Do i need experience to cook this??
You don’t need experience this recipe was made to have amazing flavor and easy to cook no matter how much cooking experience you have.
What sauce do i use?
This teriyaki sauce/Marinate is KIKKOMA you can find it in any grocery store or amazon.
Chicken Teriyaki Recipe
Equipment
- 1 bowl
- 1 Sautee pan with a lid
Ingredients
- 4 lbs Chicken (thighs, breast) your choice
- 5 tbsp Teriyaki marinate ( Kikkoman teriyaki brand)
Instructions
- Start by opening your chicken package and getting a bowl or a container were you can place your chicken
- Open you Kikkoman teriyaki marinate and sauce
- Place chicken in a bowl and marinate with your teriyaki sauce for at least 30 min ( But if you could marinate over night it will be better)
- After marinating place chicken in a medium heat pan and cook skin side down for 5 min first to get a good sear on the skin.
- Next flip over your chicken and add all the marinate that is left on your bowl in to the pan and cook chicken for 15 min with a lid on.
- After 15 min the Chickens will be ready and sauce would reduce and glazed all over chicken( if sauce is a little thin remove chicken and cook sauce for a couple more min until thig to glace over chicken)
- Serve with some steam rice and vegetables, Enjoy!!
What to serve with chicken teriyaki?
The easiest side that go with chicken teriyaki are steam vegetable you have on hand ( broccoli, carrots, snow pees) and a bed of steam rice or friend rice that goes perfectly together.
